Hey guys! So I recently had the chance to try out the TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Facial Mask and I want to share my experience with the product. I waited to do this review until I was able to use the mask three times because I wanted to be able to give you guys a concise review of my experience with the product rather than just a one time experience thing.
This all natural Detoxifying Facial Mask is made up of a clay blend, epsom salt, pure collagen hydrolysate and that’s it! Sometimes less is more!
The TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Facial Mask claims to help to improve acne and blemishes, tone skin, reduce fine line and wrinkles, reduce discoloration and scars, minimize pores and create an even and glowing complexion.
I don’t really have wrinkles or scaring so I can’t vouch for how it works in that department so I’m just going to share my experience with the product.
TruSelf Organics recommends you start using the mask once or twice a week for up to 10 minutes and then once your skin adjusts, they suggest leaving it on for up to 30 minutes. I had seen some people who had wore the mask for the full 30 minutes saying that their skin was a bit red and irritated afterwards but I like to think I have pretty resilient skin and practically never have a reaction to anything so I went all out and just wore it for the full half hour from the beginning and didn’t have any negative side effects from it. If you have sensitive skin, it’s probably best to heed their warning and start small though!
This mask is unique in the way that it comes in a powder form and you mix it yourself before each application. I actually think this is really nice because this way you get a fresh batch every time and don’t have to worry about the product drying up over time! Fancy, fancy! 😉
You just mix the mask with 50/50 with water or apple cider vinegar. I’d definitely recommend measuring when mixing this to ensure that you get an even mixture and don’t just end up with muddy water like I did the first time when I tried eyeballing it. Once you’ve got it all mixed up, just apply it in an even layer to clean skin and wait!
Another thing that I like about this mask is that it doesn’t contain any artificial colors or fragrance so this is an ideal product to those who are sensitive to such things. It smells like absolutely nothing!
So far I’ve been really happy with my experience with this mask! Like I said, I can’t vouch to how well it works for wrinkles or scaring but it definitely had some really nice noticeable effects for me.
After rinsing this mask off, my skin felt really nice! My skin didn’t feel oily, it felt noticeably tighter without being overly dry and just over all refreshed and pleasant. It just felt like perfectly normal, well balanced skin without any negative effects.
I don’t often break out but recently a few pimples sprouted on up on my face so I decided to throw this mask on and see what happens! After letting the mask dry I went to check on it and was pleasantly surprised to see that the TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Facial Mask had drawn all of the icky contents of my pimples up to the surface of my skin! By the next day, my blemishes were looking much, much better and were well on their way to disappearing.
I’ve only used this product three times so far and I don’t have any major skin issues so I can’t promise this is a miracle product but I can honestly say that I’ve been really happy with the effects that its had on my skin so far! It’s definitely worth looking into if you’re interested in natural skin care products.
Do you think you’ll be trying this product? What are some of your favorite facial masks? Hope you’re all having a lovely Tuesday! =D
