So clearly I’ve been slacking on keeping up with my 100 days of makeup posts! I’ve actually been slacking a little with doing makeup every single day but shhh! We don’t have to talk about that part. As as it turns out, it’s really hard to do something every single day but I want to kick myself in the butt and get back to the program! My husband started a new job recently which means we’ve been getting up much earlier which means I should have more hours in the day to beat this face from now on! 😛
Anyway, here is one big, gigantic post full of all of the makeup looks I’ve done since my last 100 days of makeup post!
Using Sugarpill Poison Plum, Melt Cosmetic’s Dark Matter and the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette for this eye look! The rhinestones are just regular ole’ craft store gems glued on with eyelash glue. My lips are MAC lipliner in Stone topped with Sigma Beauty Lip Vex in All Heart, which is such a gorgeous chocolately color! Lashes are Red Cherry 74’s. I felt like I was ready for a performance with Cirque du Soleil! 😛
Went for a pretty casual eye using Makeup Geek’s Vanilla Bean, Peach Smoothie, Frappe and Cocoa Bear + Urban Decay’s X and Red Cherry 83 lashes but I couldn’t resist using NYX’s High Voltage in Dirty Talk on my lips! Such an insanely gorgeous shade of brown.
Can you guess who got a big package of Glitter Injections in the mail? This girl! First instinct was to top Limecrime’s Chinchilla lipstick with this gorgeous glitter.
A pretty pinky look in anticipation of Valentine’s day! Used a concoction of shadows from Makeup Geek, Sugarpill, Urban Decay and Too Faced plus more glitter from Glitter Injections! Lashes again are Red Cherry 83’s.

Words cannot describe my love for the Makeup Geek Vegas Lights Palette ($37.99). While this beautiful selection of shades look gorgeous on nearly everyone, I especially love the way the warmth of this palette makes blue eyes pop! I’ve had my eye on this beauty for a while so I was really excited to get a chance to get my paws on it.
OVERALL REVIEW: 9
Packaging: Sturdy, functional and practical. These pans can easily be removed and replaced with different pans which is wildly convenient. 10/10
Longevity: Paired with my usual primer, these eyeshadows still looked great at the end of the day. 9/10
Application: In general, this palette applied like a dream but I found Bada-Bing to be hard to blend. 7/10
Texture: Most of these shades are insanely smooth but Bada-Bing was definitely on the stiffer side. 9/10
Makeup Geek is quickly becoming one of my favorite makeup brands. I love that they make affordable yet high quality products that are easily customizable to suit your own personal preferences.
The Makeup Geek Vegas Lights Palette is no exception here. One of the things that I adore about this palette is the packaging. It’s sturdy cardboard with a mirror that’s actually large enough to see what you’re doing and be useful. All of the pans in this palette are magnetic and easily removable so if you run out of one of these shades or simply want to switch some of these shades out with different eyeshadow pans for travel or whatever other reason, it’s easy breezy to do so. This isn’t something that you often see in pre-assembled eyeshadow palettes so I think it’s nice how buyer friendly this is.

If you haven’t heard the news yet, NYX Cosmetics has released a whole bunch of new products from new lip products, eyeshadows, brow products, a contour kit and many more things! The moment I realized this, I had to place an Ulta order to try out several of these new items. I mean, it’s for the blog, you know? How could I not? 😛
By the way, for this look I’m using Makeup Geek’s eyeshadows in Vanilla Bean, Frappe, Peach Smoothie & Cocoa Bear + Urban Decay’s X. My lashes are Red Cherry #83 and I absolutely ADORE them! This my first time wearing Red Cherry lashes and I’ve got a blog post planned on them for you guys!
NYX Cosmetics High Voltage Lipsticks
NYX has released 22 new shades of lipstick and I pretty much want them all! I only ordered two to start with but I already see myself picking up at least a few more of these. They had so many beautiful shades and while it was virtually impossible to choose, I ended up with Mirage and Dirty Talk.
The High Voltage lipsticks come in a new slim tube design which makes it easier to get a precise application straight from the tube than with larger lipstick bullets. These retail for about $6 and contain 2.5g of product. The NYX Matte lipsticks also retail for about $6 but contain 4.5g of product. I can’t say I love paying the same price for much less product but then again, I’ve never actually finished a tube of lipstick so I suppose I can’t complain much.
The formula of the NYX High Voltage lipsticks is really nice! They’re well pigmented, very comfortable to wear with a creamy finish and last really well. The staying power of the High Voltage lipsticks isn’t quite as good as their Matte lipstick formula, but good nonetheless. After a few hours of wear, a cup of coffee and some food, I only had some minimal fading near the corners and center of my lips.

I recently decided that I’m going to do a 100 Days of Makeup Challenge after seeing people on Instagram and around the web doing different makeup challenges. I’m not following any guidelines or rules, I’m just making myself do makeup every day for 100 consecutive days all while trying to learn as much as possible in that time.
I really want to push myself to improve and this seemed like a great and fun way to do so! I was only wearing makeup 4-5 days a week before this challenge and that left for 2-3 days a week where I’m not practicing and not learning anything! Of course, I don’t always feel like doing a full face every day but even when I don’t do a full face, I still plan on doing some sort of cool eye or lip look so I can get that sweet, sweet practice in! 😉
I know it’s early in the challenge but I already feel like it’s helping me a lot! Not long ago, I really struggled with cut crease looks. I would draw the line and then wipe it off and redraw it three more times before I would get it right and it usually got pretty frustrating. Lately I’ve done a couple of cut crease looks for the challenge and it’s already became pretty easy for me! No wiping off, just a little careful planning after realizing where I was messing up previously and ta-da! Cut crease.
Okay, so I counted my Sugarpill Tutorial for Day 1.
For this eye look I used the Melt Cosmetics Dark Matter stack for my eyeshadow, added Lit Cosmetics Glitter in Mexican Lucky to my inner corner and added some little dots to the outer portion of my eyes using various eyeliners. My lip combo here is MAC Stone lipliner + NYX Matte Lipstick in Butter with a dab of MAC’s Myth lipstick in the center.
You can see the dots a little better here!

Hey guys! So I finally got around to creating a tutorial for the look I did in my Sugarpill Burning Heart Palette Review post. Today I’m running on about 2 hours of sleep and ridiculous amounts of caffeine so I consider this a pretty big accomplishment! Let’s just try to excuse any mistakes I make along the way. 😛
Before I get started with any shadow, I’m going to prime and put down a base. I’m using Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance primer and a thin layer of NYX’s White Eyeshadow Base.
The first shadow I’m going to use is Blur (light peachy tan) from the Melt Cosmetics Dark Matter stack. I’m using my Makeup Addiction blending brush to place this in and above my crease, stopping a little under my brow bone to create a very natural looking transition.
Next I’m going in with in with Sugarpill’s Buttercupcake (yellow) and that same brush and basically placing it in the same area only not taking it quite as high this time.

Hey guys! Sorry that I haven’t been posting lately but life has kept me soo busy! We’re considering moving so I’ve been on this mad dash trying to find a good apartment in time and I haven’t had much time to dedicate to my blog recently but I’ve got big plans for the future and all of this craziness should be over very soon! 😉
I know that not all of you follow me on Instagram so I figured I’d make a quick post showing you some of my recent looks as well as the details for them.
For the natural part of this eyeshadow look, I used Makeup Geek’s Peach Smoothie, Beaches and Cream, Taupe Notch, Purely Naked and Sweet Dreams & the green is from my Coastal Scents 252 Palette. This white liner is Stila’s Stay All Day in Snow. It looks super cool but I wouldn’t really recommend it. It’s hard to get opaque. I really need to break and order a good white liner! I’m also wearing Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Intense in #50 on my lips.
This eyeshadow look was done with the Sephora Facets of Marsala Palette which I ADORE! The color choices in this palette are just blowing my mind since I’m a total sucker for reds and warm shades in general. Overall, I really love the Facets of Marsala Palette but certain shades have some serious fallout issues so you’ll probably want to do your eyes first with this! It appears to be sold out online but your local store might still have a few around! 😉
I’m wearing NYX Cosmetics Euro Trash on my lips and House of Lashes Temptress Wispy lashes.
