I was recently given the opportunity to try out quite a few products from City Color Cosmetics. I’d never heard of City Color Cosmetics before but I decided I’d like to give them a try and see what they’re all about. The product I’m most excited to share with you guys is a few shades from their Be Matte Gems Lipstick ($4.99). I’m a sucker for weird lip colors so these were the first thing that grabbed my attention!
OVERALL REVIEW: 7

Texture: Matte and a little on the drier side. 8/10
Hey guys! Sorry that I haven’t been posting lately but life has kept me soo busy! We’re considering moving so I’ve been on this mad dash trying to find a good apartment in time and I haven’t had much time to dedicate to my blog recently but I’ve got big plans for the future and all of this craziness should be over very soon! 😉
I know that not all of you follow me on Instagram so I figured I’d make a quick post showing you some of my recent looks as well as the details for them.
For the natural part of this eyeshadow look, I used Makeup Geek’s Peach Smoothie, Beaches and Cream, Taupe Notch, Purely Naked and Sweet Dreams & the green is from my Coastal Scents 252 Palette. This white liner is Stila’s Stay All Day in Snow. It looks super cool but I wouldn’t really recommend it. It’s hard to get opaque. I really need to break and order a good white liner! I’m also wearing Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Intense in #50 on my lips.
This eyeshadow look was done with the Sephora Facets of Marsala Palette which I ADORE! The color choices in this palette are just blowing my mind since I’m a total sucker for reds and warm shades in general. Overall, I really love the Facets of Marsala Palette but certain shades have some serious fallout issues so you’ll probably want to do your eyes first with this! It appears to be sold out online but your local store might still have a few around! 😉
Today we meet Cava, my first ever Bite Beauty product! I picked up this little gem a while ago at the Sephora VIB Rouge holiday event and let me tell you, it was a fantastic choice! Bite Beauty’s Luminous Creme Lipstick in Cava is truly a unique shade and despite my ever growing lipstick collection, I don’t have anything else quite like it. I knew from the beginning that this was a product that I had to review for you guys!
OVERALL REVIEW: 8.25
Packaging: Grey lipstick tube that feels sightly velvety in your hand. The tip of the tube is shaped differently for reds, neutrals, pinks and berries. 8/10
Longevity: Good, especially for a cream lipstick! Expect at least 4 hour, if not more. 9/10
Application: Uber creamy upon application. Glides over lips like butter and is easily opaque. 8/10
Texture: Very creamy and moisturizing with a slightly wet looking finish. 8/10
The Bite Beauty line retails at Sephora and you can purchase the Luminous Creme Lipstick formula for $24. While strolling past the Bite Beauty display at my local Sephora, the stunningly unique Cava caught my eye and I stopped immediately to gawk and swatch it. It was truly gorgeous. But did I want to spend $24 on a single lipstick? I wasn’t so sure about that so I moseyed around for a while thinking on it before deciding that I did in fact need this lipstick. Cava is a beautiful lilac beige shade with slightly grey undertones and there is something about this color that I just adore.
Hey there! So if you didn’t see my previous post on the package that I received from Lit Cosmetics recently and the quick look that I did with it, you can take a look at it here.
I received seven gorgeous shades of this lovely glitter! Lit Cosmetics offers 4 sizes of glitter from very, very fine to larger pieces of glitter. All of the shades I received were size 2, except for Abba which is size 3. You can clearly see the difference in the size of the glitter particles in Abba compared to the others.
My arm looks a little dark in this picture but I felt like this photo best shows the true colors of the glitters.
Today I received my prize from @litcosmetics Glitter Friday Instagram contest and I was seriously blown away when I opened it up and saw all the glittery goodness awaiting me!
I’ve been dying to do some glittery looks for a while now but with only one container of not eye-safe glitter, it’s a struggle. 😛 Lit Cosmetics was kind enough to send me 7 shades of glitter, 5 of which are unreleased until 2015, a whole bunch of adhesive, two brushes, a sticker, a little glitter removing device and a sweet hand written note. I AM SO HAPPY!
