Hey guys! A couple of weeks ago I was approached and asked if I would be interested in trying some products from Gressa Skin, a company specializing in natural skincare and cosmetics. I had actually never heard of this company before but after a little research, I decided that I’d like to see what Gressa Skin is all about so they sent me this lovely package!
I had wanted to get this review up sooner for you guys but since the natural products from Gressa Skin are so very different than the cosmetics I’m used to using, it took me a little longer to really get a grasp on these products and come to a conclusion about them but after using each of these products several times now, I can say I’m ready! 😀
When I first saw that the MAC Nordstrom Naturals Palette ($85) had been released, I tried to convince myself for a full 6 hours or so that I didn’t need this palette before realizing that that was completely insane and running out to Nordstrom half an hour before closing to pick this beauty up! I definitely made the right decision here. 😛
Packaging: Fantastic shades that work well together. Sturdy plastic with clear lid makes it easy to see all of your beautiful shades although I’ll never stop wishing for MAC to put shades names on palettes. 8/10
Longevity: All the looks I’ve done with this palette have held up well all day long with a primer. 9/10
Application: Most shades are well pigmented and apply & blend nicely. 9/10
Texture: The majority of the colors in this palette are super smooth although a couple of the mattes are a little dry. 8/10
In this palette, you get 15 nearly full-sized pans of MAC’s best-selling shades! Each of these pans are 1.3g where as the regular MAC pans are 1.5g so you’re only missing the tiniest amount of product compared to a full sized pan. I actually didn’t have any of the shades in this palette so I took that as a sign that this palette was meant to be in my life but whether or not this palette might be “worth it” to you might depend on what MAC eyeshadows you already have hanging around in your stash. If you don’t have most of these shades already, this palette is an awesome deal!
One regular MAC eyeshadow in the case is $16. One MAC refill pan (I think the individual pans are only sold online and at MAC Pro Stores) is $10. $10 per pan x 15 pans = $150 yet this palette is retailing for $85, making it as if each pan only costs about $5.66 each. If you’ve been thinking about expanding your eyeshadow collection, this might be a good time!
This palette is made of a sturdy plastic and has a clear top allowing you to see your shadows. The pans, unfortunately, do not seem to be easily removed from this palette so there’s no switching shades around or replacing them with other pans.
The 15 shades included in the MAC Nordstrom Naturals Eyeshadow Palette are:
Hey guys! It’s been way too long since I last made a video but I really want to get back on it and start making them regularly. I posted on Instagram several days ago asking for suggestions for videos and many people said they wanted to see my face routine so I delivered!
This is actually the second time that I recorded this video! The first time I spent so much time setting up, recording and even EDITING just to realize after hours of work that part of the video didn’t get recorded. Ugh. But I pushed on! haha
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this video as well as what you’d like to see from me in the future!
I’m pale in the summer and even more pale in the winter. It seems like even mild sun exposure can give me a noticeable tan and because of that I like to have two shades of my most used foundations. This way I can use the lighter shade during winter, the darker shade during summer and I can mix them together for all the time in between!
For about 2 months now the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation ($42) has been the foundation that I wear basically every single day and I’m quite happy with it!
I know that shopping for foundation online can sometimes be a pain so here is the Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 117 vs. 120 swatched to hopefully help ease your foundation shopping woes.
