Face Routine Video!

Hey guys! It’s been way too long since I last made a video but I really want to get back on it and start making them regularly. I posted on Instagram several days ago asking for suggestions for videos and many people said they wanted to see my face routine so I delivered!

So here it is! This is the method that I use virtually every single day for my face makeup and contains several products that I’ve featured on my blog such as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, MAC Warm Soul Blush as well as the Beauty Blender.

This is actually the second time that I recorded this video! The first time I spent so much time setting up, recording and even EDITING just to realize after hours of work that part of the video didn’t get recorded. Ugh. But I pushed on! haha

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this video as well as what you’d like to see from me in the future!

Sigma Beauty Swatches

In my previous post, I went into some details on the Sigma 3DHD Precision brush, the Sigma E55 & the Sigma E06 and now I’m back to share some swatches and thoughts of the Sigma Beauty makeup products that I received!

Lip Vex

Sigma Lip Vex All Heart

The Lip Vex ($10) that I received is in the shade All Heart which is a sheer chocolaty brown with a sort of mauvey undertone. On the lips it appeared as a sheer wash of natural color and boy did it SHINE! The finish was really glossy and beautiful. It had a slightly tacky yet not sticky consistency, was surprisingly moisturizing and smelled/tasted like vanilla cake. I don’t wear a lot of lip gloss just by itself so I’m no lip gloss connoisseur but I felt like the formula was pretty nice.  Even after about 4 hours, although the gloss had indeed faded (I was also drinking & not with a straw) it was still definitely lingering on my lips. Even though I’m not a huge fan of only wearing gloss on my lips, I do love to add a little gloss on top of matte lipsticks to give them some shine or alter the color a little and I think this shade will be really nice for giving some of my lipsticks a slightly more natural hue.

Sigma Blush in Heavenly

This beautiful peachy shade is called Heavenly ($12) and is my first Sigma blush that I’ve tried. When I swatched it I was immediately surprised by how soft and pigmented it was! While great pigmentation is normally a good thing, it makes me slightly nervous when it comes to blush because I’m always afraid of ending up with overly pigmented, patchy blush all over my pale cheeks but that didn’t happen here. This blush actually blended into the skin really easily and wasn’t at all patchy. I also feel like the color of this shade is just perfect and I’m sure it’ll be getting a lot of love from me. This blush, like most blushes, did fade a little throughout the day but was still noticeably there at the end of the day. Seriously a lovely product and a gorgeous shade.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul

After months of hearing oodles of great things about MAC’s Mineralize Blush ($27) in Warm Soul, I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick up this little gem and I’m glad that I did! I’m not usually a blush junkie and often reach for my BH Cosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette for most of my blush needs but MAC Warm Soul might be converting me because I suddenly feel the urge to run out to my local MAC store and pick up a few more of these beauties.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul

This particular blush has a lot of good things going for it. The formula is well pigmented and impressively long lasting, keeping your blush looking nice throughout the day. While the formula itself is lovely, the color is what’s really blowing me away.  Warm Soul is this incredible warm peachy shade with golden shimmer that would look beautiful on a large variety of skin tones. While the shimmer might look a little heavy on the swatch, I don’t think it makes your face look like a glitter bomb by a long shot. It’s actually a pretty subtle glow once blended onto your cheeks that adds a nice natural looking brightness to your face.

BH Cosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette Review

BH Cosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette

Packaging: Love that I can have 10 blushes encased in a sleek and convenient plastic palette. I have had no problems whatsoever with the packaging of this product but it’s worth noting the plastic on the top of the palette does bend with pressure.9/10

Longevity: Most of these blushes are well pigmented and still very noticeable all throughout the day but a couple of them seem to fade a little quicker. 8/10

Application: Some of these apply like a dream & are smooth and easily blendable while others sometimes require a little more effort to blend them in. 7/10

Texture: Again, some are smooth and buttery while others are slightly more chalky. 7/10

BH Cosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette

The BH Cosmetics Glamorous Blush Palette comes with 10 shades ranging from neutrals, to soft pinks to darker berry shades and contains shades with both matte and shimmer finishes. The usual price for this palette is $16.95 but it seems as if BH Cosmetics is nearly always having a sale so you’re often able to find this palette for a lower price. At the time of writing this, the Glamorous Blush Palette is being sold for only $7.95 which, in my opinion, is a total steal!
