Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set

After searching far and wide, the new Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set is finally mine! There’s been a frenzy over the release of this brush set and many people are having a difficult time getting their hands on one. I showed up at 2 stores who supposedly had it in stock just to be let down once I got there. After a couple of phone calls I found a store who said they had a few and would hold one for me. Once I got to the store there were none of these sets on shelves but just as promised, one was waiting with my name on it at customer service. It took everything in me not to squeal with joy when she brought it out to me!

Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set

The Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set was released on July 20th, 2014 in celebration of 15 years of award winning brushes. The price is currently listed as $39.99 but is also listed as  being on sale for $35.99. I was also able to use a Cartwheel code for 10% off makeup to bring the total to $32.39 and for the price, I’d say it’s a steal. The brushes feature a deep eggplant shade on the handle, gold accents and purple bristles. Like all Sonia Kashuk products, this set is only being sold at Target. It is listed as “currently unavailable” on the Target website so you’ll probably need to track it down in a store. Before you set yourself up for disappointment, I’d highly recommend calling ahead to check availability and then having a store hold one for you.

Edit 7/24/2014- You are now able to purchase this brush set through Target.com but it is back ordered 2-4 weeks.

This Sonia Kashuk brush set contains a powder brush, blusher brush, duo fiber buffing brush, synthetic angled multipurpose brush, contour brush, foundation brush, concealer brush, blending brush, crease brush, small eye shadow brush, fluffy eye shadow brush, precision pencil brush, synthetic angled liner brush, smudge brush and spoolie. It contains such a wide variety of reasonably priced yet quality  brushes that I’d say this set is a great asset to beginners and hardcore makeup enthusiasts alike.

These brushes are beautiful, soft and I’m pleased as a peach with them! I haven’t actually had a chance to use them to apply makeup yet but I have high hopes and I don’t think I’ll be let down. I’m a big fan of Sonia Kashuk brushes when it comes to affordable brushes. I have other Sonia Kashuk brushes that I bought over 2 years ago that I still use on a daily basis and they’ve held up amazingly well! No shedding, they’ve held their shape, they’re pretty much just as they were when I bought them so long ago. I swished many of the brushes in the new set around on my hand as well as gently tugged on the bristles and they didn’t shed at all. The one gripe I have with them is they smell a little weird. I’m hoping airing them out will take that away but if it doesn’t, I’m sure washing them will.

Overall I’m nothing but happy with this set!

  1. I went out and bought these within 48 hours of reading this. I LOVE THEM! They are so soft and they apply makeup beautifully. I have to think of reasons to do my makeup again so I can play with them a bit more. I snagged the last set at my Target too.

    1. Aren’t they lovely? I’m so glad I was able to track a set down. I’ve been using them every day since I got them!

  2. Ugh, I’m trying to find them online so I can actually receive them via MYUS but it’s impossible especially since everyone is charging well over $50 a set on ebay & Amazon.

I’m not sure where it says that it’s back ordered on the Target site, my guess is that I’m way too late now. 🙁

So good! Want so bad. Why, Target, why!

  3. Hi! I just received this amazing set as a birthday gift but I’m not very familiar with her brushes and I was wondering if its ok to wash them? and if you have any suggestions on what kind of soap I should wash them with? I currently use a very gentle vegan baby shampoo to wash my real techniques brushes and it works great for them but there wasn’t care instructions on the box for these beauties and I really don’t want to ruin them.

    1. It’s definitely okay to wash them! The baby shampoo would probably be just fine to wash them. I wash mine with a 50/50 mix of olive oil and Dawn though.

  4. I am so excited, I just called my target and they have some in stock. I’m going to go by after I leave work and purchase every set that there is. And maybe sell some or give some to people as gifts. Ashley have you used them yet. I’m curious as to how they apply makeup.

    1. Aw, that’s such a nice idea! And yes, I have used them. As a whole, I’m pretty happy with the set! A couple of the brushes are a little awkward (blending brush is way too big for most eye looks) but I like having them around and use them often. I love the concealer brush and the contour brush. <3

  5. Please I live in NZ so it is impossible for me to go to target and I desperately want these brushes can someone please help me out by finding some for me please or keeping an eye out please

    1. Sorry but they don’t sell these brush set anymore, it was a limited edition set, however you may find one on eBay but the price will be high.
