November Favorites!

Hey guys! Some of you may have read on here a few weeks ago that I was going to start sharing my monthly favorites with all of you. At that time, I was planning on doing it in blog posts but then I made a YouTube channel and figured “Hey, why not just start with a video?” so that’s what I did! 😛

So what are my favorite products for November?

And what’s on the rest of my face?

  • Eyes – Makeup Geek shadows in Beaches and Cream, Peach Smoothie & Chickadee Caramel and Sienna from the Anastasia Maya Mia Palette as well as Instigator from the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette.
  • Lashes – Ardell 206’s
  • Lips – MAC Ruby Woo
  • Brows – Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Medium Brown
  • Blush – MAC Warm Soul

If you watched my first video you may have noticed that I’ve gotten a new camera since then and it takes WAY better videos so whoohoo! This was my first time filming with it so try to ignore the funny sounds it’s making and I’ll try to get them taken care of in the future. It’s a Nikon D5200, by the way. If anyone is curious about my lighting or how I take my pictures, you can check out my recently added FAQ page and feel free to ask away there with any other questions you might have.

So yeah, now we’re up to video number two! I’m really glad that I finally got around to making a YouTube channel because I’ve really enjoyed making these first two videos. I still have a couple of kinks to work out but I’d say that I’m off to a decent start for hardly knowing what I’m doing. 😀

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this video in regards to what you liked, what could be better, what you’d like to see in the future, etc. as well as what you think about my monthly favorites being done in a blog post vs. a video so let me know what you think!

Have you tried any of my November Favorites before? If not, have you been eyeing any of them?

Hope you’re all having an awesome day!

  1. Hey, I’m really enjoying your videos so far!

A word of advice – you may want to turn off your autofocus whilst shooting, its a bit distracting what with the quick shifts in focus and the noise it makes. However, the noise is the most distracting part, the change in focus is liveable, so if you’re having a hard time getting it focused manually while you’re sat in front of it (cos I know it’s a bit of a pain), maybe consider recording your audio on a separate mic? That way we won’t hear the lens shifting.

Anyway, keep it up! It’s really nice to put a voice to a face 🙂

    1. Glad you’re enjoying them! 😀 And I know the lens shifting is distracting. I just didn’t quite realize it until it was all filmed and done. I mentioned in this blog post and on the video description that this was my first time filming with this new camera and that I’ll try to have that issue fixed in the future. Filming is tricky business! haha

      1. Ha don’t I know it- I’m on a film crash course right now, it’s probably the only reason I picked it up because I’m thinking about filming all day!

    1. Yesss!! I literally have this fear of running out of Peach Smoothie and then MUG being out of stock or something. I wouldn’t know how to cope! lol
