Lit Cosmetics Glitter Friday Prize!

Today I received my prize from @litcosmetics Glitter Friday Instagram contest and I was seriously blown away when I opened it up and saw all the glittery goodness awaiting me!

Lit Cosmetics Glitter Friday Prize

I’ve been dying to do some glittery looks for a while now but with only one container of not eye-safe glitter, it’s a struggle. 😛 Lit Cosmetics was kind enough to send me 7 shades of glitter, 5 of which are unreleased until 2015, a whole bunch of adhesive, two brushes, a sticker, a little glitter removing device and a sweet hand written note. I AM SO HAPPY!

This package conveniently arrived in the middle of me doing my makeup so naturally I had to find a way to work it into what was already on my face.

I’ll definitely be doing a full review of these products plus swatches in the near future but for now I can at least say I am super pleased with what I’ve tried! I had already applied my foundation by the time the package arrived and using glitter after doing your face makeup is a risky game but I had no problems with fall out! The adhesive is the bomb.

For this eye look, I used Makeup Geek’s Vanilla Bean, Peach Smoothie, Purely Naked, and Taupe Notch plus Lit Cosmetics glitter in Mexican Lucky, Sweet Pea and Hello Sunshine. I’m also wearing Ardell 204 lashes and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Medium Brown for my brows.

Here’s the rest of my face today! I’m wearing Lime Crime’s Salem on my lips and Sigma’s blush in Heavenly.

I just keep brainstorming all the ways I can use this glitter and it’s getting me all excited! 😀 What’s your favorite way to wear glitter?

  1. You are so lucky! I can’t believe how precise your application of the glitter is. I have an unopened package of Lit Cosmetics and it will be my first venture with eye glitter. I hope to wear a look with it for Christmas so it’s good to hear the adhesive is bomb and you didn’t have problems with fallout!

    1. I just used a tiny brush to pat it on! And you should open that baby up! I’m sure it’ll be awesome for holiday looks.

  2. I want their stuff so much, but for now I’ll have to stick to something far cheaper. In fact I’m waiting for a package of around 30 glitter pots reaching me any day – so I demand some inspiration from You!!! 😀

Anyways, I second wanting to learn about the glitter removing tool(is it that round white thing in the net?)
Also – are both of the bottles adhesive? Do they differ from one another?

I must rant a little, too – I find their webpage to be so completely annoying! The “book/magazine” stuff reminds me of AVON a lot and I don’t find it to be too comfortable and the music is just killing me. Sucks to be a perfectionist but I think that these are really big flaws 😀

    1. 30 pots of glitter? Sounds like a party! =D But don’t worry! haha I will definitely be putting this glitter to good use!

I haven’t had a chance to try out the little remover tool yet because I had like zero fall out yesterday but I’ll have to give it a spin soon and see what it’s all about. Both of the bottles are adhesive. The little one should get you quite far if you’re just using it for your eyes or little pops of glitter here or there but the big one is nice if you plan on covering large areas of your face or body in glitter.
