Smelly Yeti Perfumery Review

I’ve been curious about indie perfumes for a while now and after seeing so many positive reviews of Smelly Yeti Perfumery floating around, I decided to take the leap and start my indie perfume journey with them. Smelly Yeti Perfumery is a small company specializing in interesting perfume oils with a cute and quirky website to boot! It’s fair to say that I’m now wholly hooked and already drooling at the aspect of not only trying more scents from Smelly Yeti, but also at venturing out and seeing what other indie perfumeries have to offer!

I opted to start out with Smelly Yeti’s sample pack which allows you to choose 5 samples for $15.

Smelly Yeti Perfumery Review

Perfume oils are a bit different than your typical alcohol based perfumes. Alcohol based perfumes tend to be more harsh & overpowering (not hating, I love all perfume!) while perfume oils offer a cleaner, truer scent. Many also claim that perfume oils offer longer lasting fragrance than alcohol based perfumes. My only experience with perfume oils is with this one company but I didn’t exactly find that claim to be true here. These fragrances typically lasted between 3-5 hours on me before mostly fading away almost completely, which I still consider quite good wear time. One major upside that I found with this order is that Smelly Yeti’s products absolutely offered something new, unique & captivating and these scents are very different than what you’d normally find lining the shelves at your local Sephora, which I absolutely love!

My New Obsession! Perfect Image 30% Glycolic Acid Peel Review!

About 2 months ago, I stumbled upon this Perfect Image 30% Glycolic Acid Peel on Amazon & after reading through loads of reviews, I decided I really wanted to give it a shot and after using it several times now, I am completely obsessed!

After my first use with these peel, I immediately called up my mom (who is a bit of a skincare junkie) and convinced her that she absolutely needs to try this!

Now, this really is an amazing product but I’ve got to start off with a little warning. Please for the love of all that is holy, use caution with this product! As far as chemical peels go, this one is quite mild but it is still a chemical peel and needs to treated as such or you could end up damaging your skin. Follow the instructions carefully, do a patch test, wash it off completely and avoid sun exposure for the following day. Also some medications, especially those meant to try skin conditions, can cause nasty side effects when paired with chemical peels so please keep that in mind. Consult with your doctor if you are unsure about any of these things.

Perfect Image lists the following  as things that can be treated or improved by using this peel: Fine Lines, Wrinkles, Acne, Oily Skin, Uneven Skin Tone, Scars, Dry Skin, Blackheads, Enlarged Pores, Whiteheads, Hyperpigmentation, Rosacea, Melasma, Warts, Enlarged Pores, Age Spots, Sun Spots, Eczema, Seborrheic Keratosis, Hyperkeratosis, Actinic Keratosis, Keratosis Pilaris.

Sneak Peek!

Hi guys! I’ve been over here working hard on highlighter shades and throwing out batch, after batch, after batch until I end up with the product that I was envisioning all along! 😛

I just wanted to make a quick little post to give you guys a little sneak peek of my red/pink highlighter shade! This video was taken in indirect sunlight because what my iPhone camera was recording in direct sunlight was vastly different than what my eyes were actually seeing but I’ll be breaking out the real camera soon to show you guys better swatches & more shades!

This is the same product, over bare skin, swatched heavily with my finger on top vs. applied lighter with a brush on the bottom.

I have about 1 billion highlighter colors in my head and I feel like none of them are optional! 😛 I want to make lots of funky colors, a few more “normal” shades and also a couple of matte shades.

Well, I hope you liked the sneak peek! Let me know your thoughts and feel free to ask any questions! <3
