The Benefit’s They’re Real! Push-Up Liner ($24) has been causing quite a stir lately, popping up all over the internet and often being advertised in Sephora and Ulta with large, attention grabbing displays. Sephora was actually giving away samples of this eyeliner for a while and that’s how I got my sample and came to do this review.
Packaging: Convenient to have gel liner in a pen form eliminating the need for liner + brush. Fits comfortably in the hand. 8/10
Longevity: Wore well for several hours before I noticed it beginning to crack. 7/10
Application: Drags and skips on skin pretty badly. Difficult to create a crisp line. The tip is too thick to be able to easily line the inner corners of my eyes. 5/10
Texture: A bit clumpy and slightly grippy, making it difficult to glide along the eyelid. 6/10
The idea behind this product is great but the execution left something to be desired. The Benefit’s They’re Real Push-Up Liner is unique in the fact that it’s a gel liner in pen form. This alone could make this a useful product to have on hand if you and your makeup do a lot of traveling or if you just hate the struggle of cleaning eyeliner out of your brushes. I personally don’t see this product replacing my gel liner and brushes though.

After thinking long and hard about this, I think it’s safe to say that the NYX Matte Lipstick ($6) formula is my favorite lipstick formula ever. That’s a pretty bold statement considering my ever-growing lipstick collection but I think NYX really knocked it out of the park with this formula. Now to share my NYX Matte Lipstick swatches in Sweet Pink, Indie Flick, Euro Trash, Butter and Hippie Chic.
Packaging: Matte black tube with a clear “window” showing the shade. None of that flipping it upside down to read the shade name or taking the cap off to figure it out. 10/10
Longevity: Impressive staying power. 8/10
Application: Glides on smoothly and opaque right out of the tube. No dragging or skipping. 9/10
Texture: Smooth and comfortable. 10/10

After searching far and wide, the new Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set is finally mine! There’s been a frenzy over the release of this brush set and many people are having a difficult time getting their hands on one. I showed up at 2 stores who supposedly had it in stock just to be let down once I got there. After a couple of phone calls I found a store who said they had a few and would hold one for me. Once I got to the store there were none of these sets on shelves but just as promised, one was waiting with my name on it at customer service. It took everything in me not to squeal with joy when she brought it out to me!
The Sonia Kashuk Limited Edition 15pc Brush Set was released on July 20th, 2014 in celebration of 15 years of award winning brushes. The price is currently listed as $39.99 but is also listed as being on sale for $35.99. I was also able to use a Cartwheel code for 10% off makeup to bring the total to $32.39 and for the price, I’d say it’s a steal. The brushes feature a deep eggplant shade on the handle, gold accents and purple bristles. Like all Sonia Kashuk products, this set is only being sold at Target. It is listed as “currently unavailable” on the Target website so you’ll probably need to track it down in a store. Before you set yourself up for disappointment, I’d highly recommend calling ahead to check availability and then having a store hold one for you.
Edit 7/24/2014- You are now able to purchase this brush set through Target.com but it is back ordered 2-4 weeks.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit has been flying off the shelves since it’s release so you can only imagine my joy when I found this kit at my local Sephora at a time when it was sold out everywhere.
I’ve had it for a few weeks now and I’m ashamed that I haven’t reviewed this product sooner but now I can at least say that I can do a pretty thorough review.
Top Row L-R: Vanilla, Banana, Sand. Bottom Row L-R Java, Fawn, Havana.

Overall opinion: The Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit is a great asset in any makeup collection. The colors blend easily and hold up well on your face throughout the day. The base colors in the kit my not be well suited for those who are very fair or very dark but with the soon release of 21 new shades, it will be easy to select colors that work well for your individual skin tone.

Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Lipstick line was released recently with 30 gorgeous shades ranging from nudes to bold in-your-face colors. Some of the shades have already made appearances in other Kat Von D products but there are several brand new shades as well. I managed to swing by my local Sephora and pick up 3 of these lipsticks in Gothica (sparkling bronze), Wonderchilde (iridescent neon lilac) and Poe (shimmery navy).
It was so difficult to choose just 3 because there are so many gorgeous colors in this line but I love all 3 shades that I got. These lipsticks come in an stylish and unique studded black case and contain 0.10oz of product. Without further adieu, here come the photos and the Studded Kiss Lipstick swatches!
Edit: Click here to check out swatches of Countess, Agatha, Adora, Sexer, Wonderchilde, Bachelorette, Motorhead, Lovecraft and Hexagram from the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick set!

The launch of the new Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipsticks inspired me to do a review and swatches of my Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipsticks in Backstage Bambi (vivid hot pink) and Outlaw (brick red).
Overall: Impressive staying power and gorgeous colors but to make this look good and be comfortable to wear, you will need to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. Once you’ve exfoliated and moisturized, you should be good to go all day with these lipsticks.
I feel like I need to preface this whole review by saying these lipsticks are legit. Not only do they come in 12 gorgeous shades, apply easily and quickly with the included doe-foot applicator but they also last forever, hence the name!

I must start out by saying that photos do not do this gorgeous pigment justice! You have to see it in person to get the full effect. After lusting after it for a while, I finally picked this up a few days ago and I adore it.
MAC Blue Brown Pigment has a frost finish and is described as brown with blue/green pearl. It shifts shades causing it to look anywhere from blue, to green to brown depending on the lighting and angle it’s viewed at. Due to the fact it shifts shades, I think MAC Blue Brown is a really easy to use pigment. The shade itself offers a lot of depth making it simple to create a very complete eyeshadow look using it with another color or two or simply on it’s own.
